Scrapped a couple more

Here is another LO for Franziska's Paper Garden. It is so versatile and I have only used a few pieces in three layouts so far. I digitally cut these letters out of the cardboard tag.

I also used her portion of Mango Tango for another LO.

My first LOs as a CT member!

I got exciting news this week...I was selected to be a member of Franziska Altmann's Creative Team! She is a designer of some of the most gorgeous scrap kits I've seen. Here's her site. Go check out some terrific stuff there. To be asked to do layouts for her is a big honor! I had a busy week and was DYIN' to get going when this all occurred, so I threw this together pretty fast. But it's amazing what you can do when you have to dash out the door...

The freebie grows!

Download here. These are full size, not tagger-size.

Made a few more papers and a frame to match yesterdays mini-kit Happy Accident. It's funny how this thing took off...it seems to have a life of it's own. I will try to make some more embellies asap. This is a learning experience for me! Stay tuned, kiddies! Your comments are always appreciated. ...Enjoy!

Freebie from me!

Click image to enlarge. Download here.

A layout idea from the kit.

I mentioned to the group last night that I would like to create kits 'someday'. I looked into my stuff and found a few "happy accidents" and put them together in a (REAL FAST) mini kit to share with you. The alpha came from trying to get a completely different result, but I liked the tie-dyed/batik effect. Grab this before I come to my senses and take it back off out of embarrassment! One of these days, I will make a real kit.

If you make a layout, I'd love to see it...Your comments are appreciated.

UKMUG group was terrific!

Well, I just got home from speaking at the Upper Keys Mac User Group July meeting on the subject of digital scrapping and blogging. I felt very well received and I truly believe that there were some 'converts' on both subjects. I wished I had more time but it flew by. We had about 2 dozen attendees which was pretty good considering this month is typically one of the lightest. I have to give a heartfelt thanks to Sue for inviting me in the first place and 'thank you' everyone for your kind comments.

This was one of the layouts created. It is a simply beautiful kit and done with a few very basic steps: layering, rotation, and shadowing in layer effects.

If you attended the meeting and do decide to make digital pages, please-please let me know. If you'd like to have your layouts posted here I will be happy to do so. Just remember to list the credits!

The same goes for new bloggers. I would like to see them. Just leave a comment here or send me an email- my addy is in the About Me box.

Come to my "Intro to Digital Scrapbooking"!

I will be speaking on Digital Scrapbooking and Blogging this Thursday at our library. I will introduce the concept and basic scrap community rules, reconstruct a layout, touch on Photoshop brushes, patterns, styles and actions plus alot more. Also, I will show how simple it is to set up a new blog.

If you are local and wish to attend, you should find this to be lots of fun and very informative.

New Scrap and Cooking Lessons With Mom

Combined a few kits and came up with this. This little cutie was on her way to go swimming and was decked out completely.

My 11-year old has been watching the Food Network chefs lately and got into a baking kick on Friday. She saw Paula Deen make this version of Chocolate Chip Pie and decided to make one. This was a great time for kitchen bonding. I didn't think she ever would get an interest in it. If you know me, you know I love to cook and I glad my daughter also enjoys it. Here is the link to their recipe if you want to make one (or two)!

Click photo to enlarge and prepare to drool. It WAS very good!
